"Ciara…" the taller figure walked past her for a moment, something seemed to be on his mind as he rarely addressed her by her given name. He sat down on the ground making sure he rested on a patch of grass, his eyes were cast downward as if thinking what his next move was going to be.

"Hmm?" she looked up faintly at him noticing the slight slumped shoulders of her friend as he heaved a sigh. She didn't like that sound coming from his beastly lips.

"There is no doubt in my mind that the gods brought us together so that we could indeed change this world for the greater, but I must ask you something." He paused for a moment as he ran a hand through the fur that covered his neck.

Ciara looked away for a moment, perhaps he was bringing this up because of her hesitation to enter what her people considered the underworld. In her mind, and in her people's language it was simply just a land that would turn you into one of the dead, there was no escaping the chilling lull of the death gods who would beckon you to their warm grips. Going into such a land terrified her beyond her wildest dreams, as much as she had grown into accepting the creatures she once called enemies such a place was still viewed as the unholiests of all.

"Ask away, Aksel," she responded, her voice was rather distant for a moment. Her mind's interpretation of the underworld flashed back to her from the gruesome tales her people told.

"Do you really want to come with me tomorrow to the Earth's Void?" his eyes noticed the sullen look on his friend's face. "Ciara, you really do n-"

"I-I know… I know I don't have to go with you," she breathed in slowly filling the cold air of the night fill her lungs.

"Then why force yourself into this… hell pit?" the words sounded so foreign to him to address in such a vile manner.

"It's not to impress you, if that's what you've been thinking since we started our adventure," her cheeks grew a little warm. "It's so that when I go back to my people I can enlighten them about the Gerkuchen," she fiddled around with the thick fur lining from the bottom of her right sleeve jacket. "Plus…"

The little lady paused for a moment as she looked up at her friend, he looked alert as she spoke and that was enough to make her continue with her speech.

"I want to be like Amaya… and you," she looked off into the distance of the forest that was in front of them just below the cliffs on which they rested. "You two always look so fearless, and here I am a Saaogukur reduced to a cowardly woman." She chuckled softly, "no offense Akse,l but you Gerkuchen have made me soft."

"Oh come off it, you were already soft to begin with," the great wolf demon said letting out a barking laugh.
I don't even know where this one came from. It's an old piece of writing that never went anywhere.
